Playmats encourage imaginative play and story telling, important skills for literacy in children. In this workshop, you will create a rounded or square playmat (12-14 inches) as a foundation for this kind of creative play. Using wool and other fibers you will make a landscape with features like forests, beaches, paths, water, caves and more. We will use wet felting techniques to create a sturdy playmat that will stand up to many years of play. It will make a perfect holiday gift for the child in your life!
